Within a discussion about the trade deadline in the latest Hoop Collective podcast (YouTube link), Brian Windhorst of ESPN identified the Bucks as one of the most active teams on the trade market, suggested the Nets have explored both buying and selling, and said that he expects the Sixers to make at least one trade by Thursday’s deadline. Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Furkan Korkmaz, and Danuel House are among Philadelphia’s most likely trade candidates, per Windhorst.
During that same Hoop Collective conversation, Windhorst stated he expects the Wizards to make at least one deadline deal, though he’s skeptical it will involve Kyle Kuzma, identifying Tyus Jones as the player more likely to be on the move. Windhorst added that Washington has also had talks involving Deni Avdija, though he’d be surprised if the fourth-year wing is dealt.
Here are a few more trade rumors from across the NBA:
- In addition to joining the list of teams with interest in Bulls center Andre Drummond, the Sixers continue to scour the trade market for outside shooting, Marc Stein reports in his latest Substack article. Buddy Hield is one potential target, as Jake Fischer reported on Tuesday, and Bojan Bogdanovic is another clear fit, Stein writes. According to Stein, however, the Pistons are seeking at least a first-round pick in exchange for Bogdanovic and have let teams know that their preference is to keep him.
- After reporting on Tuesday that Dallas’ interest in Andrew Wiggins may be overstated, Stein says he has heard the same about the Bucks‘ reported interest in the Warriors‘ forward. Still, Golden State is expected to continue exploring trade possibilities for Wiggins up until Thursday’s deadline, Stein writes.
- Appearing on 92.5 FM in Denver on Wednesday, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said he doesn’t expect the team to make a move at the deadline, per Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports (Twitter link).
- Phoenix doesn’t intend to give up any of its few remaining trade assets for a mere insurance policy, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7, who tweets that if the Suns are going to acquire a player, they would need to view that player as someone who would be part of their eight- or nine-man playoff rotation.
If Morey gives up a 1st rounder for Bojan, it better be protected. Bojan gives them a shooter, but he’s a complete sieve defensively.
If Morey attempts to trade a 1st for Bogdanivic, he better be protected! Bogdanivic doesn’t fit the Sixers needs in any way, shape or form. Hield isnt much better . Sixers need to get Drummond in here first and foremost, possibly Alex Caruso as well. Miles Bridges, Cam Thomas, maybe even Sacramento would move Malik Monk?
Mavs get wiggins kuzma and a protected 2nd round from wizards
Warriors get hardaway jr and grant williams
Wizards get holmes, moody,Cory joseph, mavs 2027 1st and omax. (Waive gill and livers)
Mavs acquire drummond using their trade exception (or trade/waive morris to open up roster spot) and 2 2nd round picks. One being the raps 2025 2nd and either the mavs or heat (which ever is better) in 2028
Mavs get their upgrade on wings.
Warriors get added scoring and defense and move off the wiggins deal and save millions on lux tax
Wizards get a 1st, moody and rookie omax for kuzma and save 6m in cap
I can tell you for certain that the 76ers are offering more than your Dallas offer for is is for Drummond, and I don’t foresee GS wanting Grant Williams for Wiggins despite his subpar year
Sixers offering a first for drummond’s expiring contract? I guess they are desperate do they might.
Where does it say a 1rst for Drummond??? Anywhere in any article???
Warriors giving up moody in that scenario may be too much. Instead of moody, Dallas can send the wizards Hardy.
Hardy has as much potential as Moody, so if the wizards would have gone for your scenario they should go for the one with Hardy.
What a pipe dream
Would love to get Miles Bridges more. Asking price seems dirt cheap with the suns having offered Nas Little and 2 seconds. With Tobias on a huge expiring deal there’s no guarantee he still stay and regardless I think Bridges is better. Defensively he’s good, offensively he takes and makes big shots, he can shoot, can finish inside and would slot in well as our third best player.
If we don’t want such a large shake up, I’d be keen for Andrew Wiggins at the right price. He’s a good 3 and D forward and could make a difference in the playoffs. Contract isn’t crazy, former college teammates with Embiid.
And lastly Grant Williams, he seems on the outer. He’s got a cheap contract and is another good 3 and D role player that could be handy in the playoffs
The way Kuminga has come along. I can see Warriors really moving Wiggins. Raptors should make an offer. He has a decent salary. And can retire a Raptor.
Dubs desperate to find a trade partner – light years.
Dubs are not really trying to trade knowing that one player will not make a difference. Only player they want to trade is CP3 but his contract makes it very limited to get anything back worth it.
Bucks and Mavs are unlikely to offer a good package for Wiggins.
No trade can shake the league.
If GSW trades Wiggins, then it will be largely about getting off his contract. They’ll want expiring deals and picks. Not anything DAL or MIL have to offer.
I’d look for PHI to have the rail if they are really looking to be buyers.
Would GSW rather RoCo and Batum or Marcus Morris… I’m guessing the first option.
Maxey Melton Wiggins Harris Embiid
Beverly Oubre House Morris Reed
I’d be happy with that as a Sixers fan
