3 French players potentially 4 with Asar being born in France in the top 6-7 picks. I understand that the Olympics will be in France this year. But dang the Draft looks extremely WEAK
You are drawing connections that don’t exist. 3 French players going early is because of the strength of prospects from France not because this draft is weak. Which has zero to do with the Olympics being there.
“With his 7-foot frame, 7-foot-4 wingspan and ability to defend away from the basket, Sarr should contribute immediately on the defensive end. He’s a high-level athlete who can handle the ball – if his shot comes along, the Frenchman could be the jewel of this class.”
Agree with this. Tell me the Hawks couldn’t have used him now. He can start. Then they can get value for Capela. Risacher is yrs away. I’m sure Murray and Trae will wait for him ????????
What is wrong in Atlanta.
Trae and Murray won’t be there. I’ll be surprised if they’re both there at the start of the season.
Hawks are rebuilding (trading at least one of their PGs), need a wing, and already have Okongwu locked up.
Stick to the Knicks
With the 54th pick in the 2024 draft the Celtics take Bronny James lol sorry Lebron and the overrated Lakers
It’s a world game … love it.
Like Clingan. But something is wrong in Portland with Ayton
I like Dillingham. He does have AI in him. Spurs did well
He went to Minnesota
Yea idk why SAS traded him. He would’ve been fun to watch with Wemby, but haven’t seen the return yet either.
Wow really. Nice for Minny. Definitely want to see what they get.
They kept describing him as a scorer, I don’t think you want a scoring minded guard with Wemby.
He’s a kid. He’s more than that. A real PG imo
His great speed and good passing would’ve worked well with Wemby & castle. Add his scoring ability to that and it looks even better.
Yes …. he’s a real PG. That can score. Give him a chance
Would’ve preferred them keeping dillingham instead of that far off 1st and swap.
With the way Spurs have drafted/traded I wouldn’t be surprised if they go for an all star guard before the season starts, thinking Wemby is ready for win now. Rightly or wrongly.
Pistons F it up AGAIN! Doubt they win more than 20 games next year
It looks like a statement from the new GM. Rumours are no one is safe. And with how terrible the team is I’m not surprised.
They’ll be very active in the market and will likely look very different this time next year.
Just hoping Langdon isn’t suffering from the “smartest man in the room” syndrome and makes every bad decision he can make…already have/had enough of these types of GMs in Motown
That’s fair. But he can’t make the team any worse than it already is.
Trust the guy for a couple seasons and see what he does. It’s a long process to fix a mess, can’t jump on the guy too soon. It’s a big job and you may not like this, but it won’t be a quick fix. the first thing I’d do is trade Cade…… but I ain’t him!
Edey has come a long way . I’m really impressed. I wish the best for him. He’s a great story. Never thought he’d be a lottery pick. I’m awed by Zach right now. Love it
I think I’m in the minority that like Edey over Clingan, but wish they would’ve went with Knecht. Trade back a little if Edey is your guy.
Yes many of you here laughed when I said he would be a top 10 pick. There is not many big men available free agency so get them now.
I didn’t expect him to be picked that high. Grizz did need size and they knew how to play with Adams. They have nothing but floor spacers as JJJ is pretty soft. This should be a good spot for Edey.
I think Cody is underrated. Nice pick
Bulls should have took Knecht. He’s ready now.
The Bulls aren’t
Agree with ancient one, and nah I’m hyped bulls took matas, better fit and I’m always in favor of drafting hometown kids. Let’s go bulls!
Didn’t know he was born there. Like the emotion he showed.
He was crying because his home team is really run by a cheapskate who has no clue to running a Pro-Team. Yes they won six championships, but that was over two decades ago. Add to the fact that they inherited MJ
Knew OKC would take Topic since this is a red shirt year with that ACL injury.
Giddey replacement lol. Don’t really know him
Topic IMO was the best guard in the draft before his injury and might be a rare high ceiling player from this draft.
Says a lot that I preferred the idea of Rockets trading down to get him and wait a year, over drafting Reed at #3. OKC winning again with that one.
This might be it for Duncan Robinson, with this board for the Heat, I could see them taking 1 of these guys
These next three picks are crucial to me. They all need to score big here. Need help next yr.
Wow …… like it. Bam gotta be happiest lol
I like Ware but surprised with all the questions about his motor that MIA went with him. Good upside and better offense than defense right now. Close measurables to Sarr but actually put up better combine numbers I believe. He’ll be fun to watch alongside Bam
Scouting report sounds a lot more like Whiteside than Myles Turner…
He’ll play D in Miami. I’m all about Bam
Great pick for Philly. Now sign Fultz.
Are they gonna announce the spurs trade before every single pick?
Lakers lucked into this one. Could be steal of draft imo. Love this guy. Rockets should have taken him.
I don’t even like Steven A. But I’m feeling his Knecht anergy lols
This guy has gotten better every yr. Ready now, definitely will a starter soon. I would start him now on Rockets
This really helps Lakers. Ready now guy. Who’s going to get good looks.
Will the Lakers play any of their young wings though?
Never do, Christie still only gets garbage time. Hood Schifino never played and I don’t even think he was sent down to Gleague to develop.
Firstly McCain to my Sixers. Feels very similar to us getting Maxey late in the first and couple years back. Kids going to ball out and show everyone he’s the steal of the draft in a couple years time.
Secondly, Rob Dillingham going to Minny is the best pick in the draft hands down.
He will get to learn from a great veteran in Mike Conley and take his time to learn the league. It’s not like he’s going to a dumpster fire team and expected to start and produce from day 1. He’s going to be able to take his time, developed correctly and in a winning environment. Him and ANT I believe will be the best backcourt in the league one day. Even in the short term he could be a difference maker coming off the bench providing impact, shooting and energy.
Very impressed with the TWolves on this one
Yeah Philly did well. Real PG
Nice player … but Magic????? another Forward.
Magic would of took Ware.
Heat did well too. I’d love to see Bam at the 4 more. He can be dominant there. Ware is a real big. Got big man gm.
Was hoping Tyson would fall to MEM in the 2nd. Don’t think I saw him in more than 2 mock drafts even going in the 1st. Even in those I believe it was like 26-30 range, everyone else had him in the 2nd.
The big man is back !!!!!!
Love it
That’s is so cool. Going to Nuggets.
Poster who called me on Holmes. Good pick bro. Reminds me of Duren. I like him rugged.
Knicks should take Filipowski, a true stretch big, can play 4 or 5 and solid back up option if Hartenstein leaves. Brings a different skill set to NY, try develop him into KP who they took a fair few years back. That would be a really nice pick for them. Then for the other pick, Kolek, Shannon Jr, Furphy either way should get a nice development piece
I’m just walking over the Bklyn Bridge right now ……..
Just kidding ….. Buddha where U at ?????
Collier really gonna fall to the 2nd round haha
and Shannon may too
Welp Minn and Utah saved them
The typical Knicks foreigner pick
I hoped bulls drafted edey, but memphis drafted him..too bad
Who ??????
Stretch 4 or what.
Filipowski is out there.
Gotta be Filipowski for OKC
Or another guard built like Dort, possibly Jalen Williams clone.
Now that’s a steal …..
Minny got two solid players. Talented.
Very nice
I really like what Nuggets did. Those are two pros lol.
Like Dunn ……. should have been a Knick
Another steal …. He’s NBA ready imo.
nice pick. I hope he’s committed.
Ryan Dunn on the Suns!!
Bucks pick a total head scratcher unless he’ll be packaged in a trade.
Since the Bulls didn’t draft a PF ( AGAIN ), I can only hope they find at least one if not 2 for next season. I actually had no problem with the pick because Buzelis was the logical best man on the board there. Actually Giddey and Buzelis should make an interesting combo going forward causing match up nightmares. Now if we only had a coach that could figure out how to use them. Oh well, Like I said Baby Steps. If Donovan can’t develop Giddey and Buzelis the same way he can’t use Terry and Phillips then he should be gone. The Bulls need a new leader on the floor.
The bulls need new owner, but i knew..its zero chance…poor poor bulls.
Second Round at 3pm!!!
Jonathan Mogbo to the Raptors?? Okay? Do they really need another PF who can’t shoot?
Wow. I suppose it’s possible they could make round two coverage even more lifeless and less interesting… I just don’t know how. Not having any live audience really kills off any excitement there might have been.
It would also help if they didn’t broadcast this at 4:00 ET on a weekday. I only just got out of work…
For real. I assumed this was going to be primetime again and happened to check this site right now only to find that it is already almost over. Not sure what the point of splitting this into two days was if they’re just going to power through it in the afternoon.
Wagner as a warrior fan in the 80s and 90s this was a regular scheduled day off for me every year lol.
Unfortunately, I’m a college student in a research lab, so my free time is largely dictated by my work schedule
Yes I get it I was definitely not being critical but rather poking fun at my team being so horrible for so long. Keep up the good work wish you well. And you’ve been on here a while must have started following hoops seriously at a very young age.
Yeah, started following Memphis while I was in middle school. I was never the most talented offensive player on my basketball team, but I thrived on making life miserable for the opponent on the other end of the court. Thus, I enjoyed watching the Grit’n’Grind Grizzlies. Tony Allen was my favorite player
I can tell you’re a committed fan through and through. The fact that you can nevertheless remain objective in your analysis is pretty impressive and I’ve always respected that. Good to hear from you
I mean it’s round 2 of the nba draft…it’s not going to be put on prime time. If it were the old way it’d just be on late at night when people are also not watching. What is your alternative?
I like Nunez for the Spurs. Castle could always play the SG. Which means the Spurs should draft a young SF with the last 2nd rd pick. Two way a young PF
Kolek to Knicks …….. yeeess
I agree this should be on prime time. Plus USA is playing right now ….
Mogbo is a nice pick. Really like him.
Bronny a Laker ……. Wow
Who could’ve picked that …….
Imo BronGM should pay his salary .
I wish a single other team than the Lakers had the stones to pick Bronny and force LeBron’s/the Lakers hand into
– getting LeBron to sign outside of LA
– forcing LA to trade something more significant than Bronny’s pick’s worth to get him to LA.
A late second can be bought in most cases, and would’ve made a forgettable draft very interesting.
Klutch sports would have black balled any team that did that
That’s a great point, although I’m not sure how far the “blackballing” would go, though… current Klutch players(s) asking for a trade from said team? What if they were otherwise happy and rooted in the area? Would a player play ‘stick em up‘ for the sake of their agency based on their franchise leveraging an asset to make their own team more inclined for the short or long term? Obviously there are some solid players not represented by Klutch… if a small market destination doesn’t have the pull for their typical clients on the open market, would it really be a big drawback? If my team took Bronny, and traded him for a future first/asset to be used to make my team better, or gave me the platform to play with LeBron, I’m not sure it’d upset me (so long as it heightened my chances for a ring, which is a legitimate argument at this point alongside Lebron, wherever finishes his career).
Can’t say I wouldn’t have enjoyed that as a measly fan in any case lol.
indiana pacers did well for not having a 1st rd pick. furphy is essentially a first rounder that fell to the 2nd. newton and freeman have potential too
