The Warriors have filled their open two-way slot, announcing today in a press release that they’ve signed forward Jackson Rowe to a two-way deal (Twitter link).
Rowe, who played his college ball at Cal State Fullerton from 2016-20, bounced around various international leagues during his first few professional seasons, playing in France, Sweden, Canada, and Germany before catching on with the Santa Cruz Warriors – Golden State’s G League affiliate – last season.
Rowe established himself as a rotation player for Santa Cruz in 2023/24 and returned to the team this season after also playing for the Warriors in Summer League and during the NBA preseason.
The 6’7″ forward has averaged 14.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game for the G League team through 23 Tip-Off Tournament and regular season outings this season, posting a shooting line of .500/.373/.680.
Golden State has had a two-way opening since trading Reece Beekman to Brooklyn last month, so no corresponding move is necessary to bring Rowe aboard. He joins Pat Spencer and Quinten Post in filling out the Warriors’ two-way slots.
Rowe will be eligible to appear in as many as 22 NBA games for the Warriors, a prorated portion of the usual 50-game limit. As long as the team continues to leave its 15th standard roster spot open, he, Spencer, and Post will be restricted to a combined total of 90 active NBA games.
They need to find a young PG that can start developing behind Curry or a young C (21-23). Not this guy
Promote Post
That’s why there is a draft.
Why not do it all at once instead of taking for example four years to finish everything. Curry is 36 going on 37 I believe so they need someone now who can be his heir apparent and we know and Davey knows Podz isn’t it
If I had say 10 draft picks in next years draft I could build a team in one year then compete (5 veteran starters)
I know he isn’t that good but what about Amari Bailey who is 20 on a two way contract? He is a young PG. A young talented C is harder to find
Davey who? What is wrong with Podz? He is going through the normal growth of a young player. Bailey is probably where he needs to be, in the GLeague. How are you going to build a veteran team from your draft picks?
I would have the draft picks. The veterans would be acquired by either trades or sighing
You know who that guy is on this site like everyone else talks about him.
Nothing is wrong with Podz. I like him. Just not my choice as a starting PG or SG
I have looked at next years class and over 200 college players and this draft is not loaded with PG’s
You don’t like any of the PGs in the upcoming draft. Why not?
Giants. Top 10 picks considered right now have these PG’s
Dylan Harper 6’6 who can score is nice. #2 considered
Boogie Fland people like
Nolan Traore.6’4 French PG who cannot shoot. Killian Hayes vibes
Kasparas Jakucionis. 6’6 looks like he can be something
Those guys are actually considered top 10 right now.
Jase Richardson. Maybe some potential. Is considered top 25 pick maybe
Jeremiah Fears. Is a classic pure point guard.
Kam Jones. 4 year college pro has improved a lot
Mark Sears. Can shoot
And maybe some other guys but that’s about it for PG’s. 7 or 8 nice prospects but that’s all
Just a lack of PG’s that’s all I’m saying
I expect them to wait till after the buyout market to sniff things out, but I would guess Post is upgraded at some point before the end of year.
Chapman. You are probably right
This will make the Warriors a Top 4 team in the west.
