March 4: Norris’ two-way contract with the Celtics is now official, according to a press release from the team.
March 2: The Celtics are signing forward Miles Norris to a two-way contract, ESPN’s Shams Charania tweets.
Norris, who has yet to make his NBA debut, has been playing for the NBA G League’s Memphis Hustle. In 36 games combining his Showcase Cup and regular-season appearances, Norris is averaging 17.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 30.6 minutes per contest.
Norris went undrafted in 2023 after playing at UC Santa Barbara. He signed a two-way contract with the Hawks prior to last season but was waived in December. He then joined the Hawks’ G League team in College Park, where he averaged 11.6 PPG and 6.0 RPG in 45 games.
Norris participated in the Grizzlies’ training camp this past fall after signing a camp deal, but was waived prior to the season.
Boston opened up a two-way spot on Sunday by waiving rookie forward Anton Watson.
A PF good
Celtics looked good today. They are a real team and a deep team. Kornet. Al, White are the definition of a team.
Celtics have one of softest schedule left. Knicks have toughest out of top three in East. Looking like this can stay this way.
Cavs (1), Celtics (2), Knicks (3)

If the Celtics could play all remaining games on the road, they’d be great. They are an unmitigated disaster in the TD Garden.
His G league stats are excellent. And Joe isn’t afraid to play his bench – good luck to him!
Joe only plays his bench on regular season. In the playoffs he always use 8-9 players. This will always have a toll on the Celtics starting 5, especially on Tatum and Brown.
Joe is starting to be like KC Jones, and not trust his bench, even in the regular season. It will eventually haunt him, as the extended toll on the starters will start to show, like it did for the 87 and 88 Celtics.
I don’t know how anyone can play with a mallet finger and it takes 2 to 3 months to heal even wearing a splint. Playing with it risks permanent injury. And it’s on Jrue’s shooting hand. Celtics need to find a way forward, although replacing Jrue Holiday, especially on defense, is a huge challenge as shown when Holiday left the Bucks.
