Kansas swingman Josh Jackson cancelled his scheduled workout with the Celtics, Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com tweets.
Goodman didn’t elaborate why the workout was nixed by Jackson and his camp. On the surface, it seems like a curious decision to back out of a workout with the team holding the No. 1 pick.
There has been speculation that some members of the Lakers front office are enamored with Jackson and perhaps that’s where, like Lonzo Ball, he’d rather land. It could also signal that Jackson doesn’t believe Boston has a serious interest in using the top pick on him.
The news of Jackson’s cancelled workout comes on the heels of the revelation that Markelle Fultz, the favorite to be chosen No. 1, will meet with the Lakers this week. Los Angeles has the second pick.
Jackson to Suns would be perfekt !
Suns Trade Bledsoe and Chandler to philly and trade the pick for Drummond
Trade Bledsoe and Chandler for what? You cant possibly mean the 3rd pick for that.
Suns are going to get lucky like they always do and land JJ @ #4. That organization catches all the breaks and landing a superstar like Jackson will be no exception.
They catch all the breaks really. One they have never won a championship and that has to do with having no luck. Two they got the #4 pick not #2 after being the second worse team in the league. And two words for our bad luck Tim Donahue.
This is how you dump Bledsoe: Bledsoe + a top 3 protected 1st for an expiring contract. That’s it man.
I don’t see why the Suns would give up a potential high lottery pick (lets be honest, at best they’re fringe playoff team the next two years barring a major acquisition/improvement) in a Bledsoe deal. Bledsoe’s contract isn’t that bad under the new cap and he’ll come a lot cheaper (money wise) than other non-star level point guards. I get that the Suns would probably like to move him to create more minutes for Booker, Ulis, etc, but what you proposed is way too much. A decent starting point guard (or a very good backup combo guard) plus a top 3 protected pick (coming from a lottery team) for only an expiring contract? If the Suns were willing to settle for that, they would’ve made that deal a long time ago.
You’re crazy thinking the sixers would consider that deal.
booker for #3, Okafor and next year’s #1 (not the Lakers pick)
Why would they trade Booker for the chance to get a player as good as Booker? That makes no sense.
Suns Trade Bledsoe and Chandler for the 3# pick and that’s good for booth side.
Suns can pick J Jackson and Fox perfekt for the future bright Suns .. 2021 champions
