The Clippers are looking for a team with cap space that would be willing to facilitate a sign-and-trade with the Nuggets involving Danilo Gallinari, tweets Sam Amick of USA Today.
Gallinari met with L.A.’s contingent Saturday night and hasn’t announced a decision yet on where he plans to sign. However, Amick states that the Clippers want to be ready with a trade offer for Denver in case he does opt to come to Los Angeles.
Nine teams expressed interest in meeting with Gallinari when free agency began, but it’s not certain how many face-to-face sessions he intends to have before making a final decision.
The Kings, who were among those teams, have apparently elected not to pursue Gallinari any more, Amick adds (Twitter link). A return to Denver remains in play for the 28-year-old forward.
The Celtics haven’t held a formal meeting with Gallinari, but they have made contact and consider him a backup plan in case Gordon Hayward signs elsewhere, according to Mark Murphy of The Boston Herald (Twitter link).
Gallinari appeared in 63 games this year, the most since missing the entire 2013/14 season after surgery on his left ACL. He averaged 18.2 points per night and shot .389 from 3-point range, his best performance in that category since coming to Denver in 2011.
Lakers should do this and get some DP’s
Why do Lakers fans think all the things should happen to the Lakers?
Because they want there team to win are you being real asking a dumb question like that
trolling haha
We just HATE the clippers! Get outta
town!!
Why such animosity? The Clippers will always be 2nd fiddle in LA. Laker fans are so bizarre when it comes to the Clippers. They are better now, so what? Ever since the Clippers became good, Laker fans have lost their sh%$#!t. Relax, you still have history on your side. The future ?????
preach. Laker fans just deflect off their terrible team to remind clipper fans of the past. And we know we have ZERO history, but we don’t really care. It’s cute that laker fans talk about our history so much yet they call us irrelevant
So assuming Griffin and Jordan are off the table, who else would the Clips need to trade to clear the cap? I’m assuming the Clips would rather not move Beverley so the only other options are Crawford and Rivers right?
And we know Rivers is off limits lol
CP3 and JJ found out. HaHa
I honestly do not know why Danny doesn’t just forget about pursuing these bums like Hayward and Gallinari who Jayson Tatum would cook one on one. Tatum’s footwork is arguably better then most elite players in the league right now, his movement in the post and pivots remind me so much of Michael Jordan. Danny just go with Tatum as the 6th man and watch him drop 20-30 off the bench leaving Stevens with no choice but to start him.
Found Tatum’s mom
^^ this guy
Hayward is a bum??? another uneducated dionis comment
Hayward is not all that, Tatum is way better on isolation and also more athletic and has potential to be a better 3 point shooter.
Hayward is an allstar in the western conference who averaged 20 ppg. Tatum is a rookie. There’s no comparison between the two right now lol
Took him how many years to get there though? Tatum is fresh out of college and already better offensively then Hayward ever was at Butler. Tatum moves like Kobe in the post and has a very nice turn around game.
I’m all in on Tatum, but it’s going to be a few years before he develops into a star. He’s 19. Hayward is in his prime at 27. I think he will eventually be a better player than Hayward, but he’s not close to being there yet.
All dionis comments are uneducated
I got an education buddy, keep spatting garbage from the back of your keyboard.
Lol
Dionis you think every lotto pick is the second coming of Jesus
Who ever saw MJ averaging 28.1 ppg his very first year? Who ever saw Curry averaging 30 on 50 percent shooting and breaking 3 point records?
So because Curry and Jordan became all stars, every single lottery pick ever is a guaranteed all star?
No but why can’t Tatum come out of the gate torching teams? He’s got the size, talent, footwork, isolation game, shooting ability.
Wow he’s already in the hall of fame for you huh?
Will be when he retires.
Look I agree Tatum has the potential to be great along with a NBA ready offensive game, but you’ve been raving about every draft pick in different articles, and I don’t know if you’re just throwing predictions the wall to see if you can hit on one and say you told us so or what, but I hope you don’t believe every guy in this draft is the next MJ…
Gallo for Clipps was amazing
Gallinari would be a terrific fit with Blake and DeAndre. That could solidify a 5 spot in the West. Now add a vet like Rondo to the bench and you have a solid team. Everyone is still playing for 2nd but it’s makes them competitive. The sign and trade would take probably Rivers and 1 or 2 other pieces resign Ba A Moute and trade.

Like maybe resign Ba A Moute and trade.
Adding Rondo would excellent move by Clippers
You really think Doc wants to deal with Rondo again?
would be a good fit but i’d really prefer a short term deal. And clippers need to trade either lou or jamal i think
