DECEMBER 2: The signing is official, tweets Sean Cunningham of KXTV in Sacramento.
NOVEMBER 29: The Kings have reached an agreement with free agent forward Glenn Robinson III, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (Twitter link). Robinson is signing a one-year, minimum-salary contract with a partial guarantee, reports Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee (Twitter link).
Robinson had attracted interest from a number of clubs before agreeing to terms with Sacramento, holding past experience with the Wolves, Sixers, Pacers, Pistons and Warriors in his career.
He averaged 11.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 28.8 minutes with Golden State and Philadelphia last season, appearing in 38 games with the Warriors before being dealt to the Sixers. The 26-year-old was drafted with the No. 40 overall pick back in 2014.
The Kings have had a busy offseason to date, signing De’Aaron Fox to a five-year extension and declining to match Bogdan Bogdanovic‘s offer sheet with the Hawks. The team also signed free agent big men Hassan Whiteside and Frank Kaminsky.
lol wow took money over winning..guy will have a bad season and get traded and forgotten
Hey doc stick to children’s books! How will he get traded after a bad year when he is only on a 1 yr contract? Glenn in a box, playing with Fox…Kings might very well surprise some people this year. You’ll all see..
lmao same with all kings players get traded or released after bad seasons
I have to say people also thought Cornelius was crazy when he said the earth was round…just because u cant understand a strategy doesnt mean its bad..Seuss boy
lol delusional..he went to the wrong Cali Team!!
I think the plan is he will get playing time, put up numbers and get more money next year. He is trying to build a resume not chase rings.
lol he would have gotten enough minutes on the clippers..they have no backup to kawhi
They do now…Nicolas Batum is signing with the Clips.
Warriors?
You mean Copernicus, but he was the one who discovered the Earth revolved around the Sun, not that the Earth was round. Before then everyone thought the Earth was the center of the universe (geocentrism) and everything revolved around it, while he brought forth the idea of heliocentrism, our planets revolving around the Sun. Eratosthenes is the one credited with figuring out the Earth is round.
I think he means Cornelius. He was the one that figured out that the Planet of the Apes was round.
No, Cornelius was the Big Ten MVP, at quarterback, the year Archie Griffin won his 2nd Heisman
@hmvps… Oh boy!
You are wrong yet again!
The Bible says the earth is round over 2700 years ago!
Isaiah 40:22 “There is One who dwells above the CIRCLE of the earth”!!!
“Winning” haha Philly wishes they had a shot. Everyone on that team will be traded and forgotten bitter boy.
Do you have intel that it isn’t a min deal? So what money?
If GR3 goes to a contender like the Lakers, he’d have a much smaller role than he would w/ a team like Sac. He’s a journeyman who has never had a big contract. His best chance at making more money is going to a team like Sac, getting more minutes, & putting up numbers. Guys who have made a ton of money in their careers, like Dwight Howard, can take less money for a chance to win a ring. A guy like GR3 needs to go where he has the best chance to make money.
Unfortunately, at this point of his career, he could have a great year and still not get great money in his next contract.
Yeah like you wouldn’t take a even a partial guaranteed minimum salary over a non-guaranteed deal from a contender. Non guaranteed deals are 9 times out of 10 the ones that get cut before the season starts and then they get nothing. It’s not like GR3 is able to pick and choose who offers him what.
Uh, I would be happy to make what any of these guys in the NBA make, even the minimums. If they have good financial advice, even after a few years in the league, they should be set for life.
I support Alex Bucks to join Knicks at 6m and GR jr to join Kings instead of Lakers
I strongly support this kind of players to take more money for family
Field goal
Bogdanovic 44%
GR Jr 48%
3 pt field goal
Bogdanovic 37%
GR Jr 40%
Warriors GR Jr
THIS would be someone that doesn’t realize how percentage statistics work. If you make 360 out of 1000 shots over a season and I make 2 out of 5, am I more valuable because I shoot 40% to your 36%?
So this means that Glenn Robinson III is better than Bogdan?
I’m going out on a limb and saying your the only one who thinks so.
Bogdanovich can create his own shot.
If you look at their player comps on BR neither one of them is anything to get excited about.
Another zero risk low money contract for the Kings that they’ll likely be able to flip at the deadline into something else.
Should have gone with Rondae Hollis Jefferson. How is he not signed?
Conclusion. We have a GM with a plan. I am excited
New Kings owner wants to win? Something that Knicks fans don’t have.
How did he take money over winning. He was only getting minimum deal wherever he signed. The deal is only partially guaranteed. Stupid guy. Maybe allergic to winning. Rather play big minutes and lose then contribute on a winning team.
The kings did prioritize Corey Jo over keeping Bogdanovic… Epic fail! Even post Cousins and they still suck! Hopefully Buddy Hield ends up on a contender…
