Suns guard Devin Booker didn’t experience any symptoms after testing positive for COVID-19, he told Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic. The Suns star was frustrated he had to sit out four games despite not feeling sick.
“That’s the tough part about it,” he said. “Not feeling anything and not being able to play. I don’t even know why people are getting tested that much anymore.”
We have more from the Pacific Division:
- Mikal Bridges believes this Suns team is superior to the one that made the Finals last season, writes Joe Vardon of The Athletic. “I felt like that early in the season, like I was looking around and this team I feel like is better, and then (we kept) adding guys,” he said. “It made me realize like, yeah, this is team is better than last year.”
- Domantas Sabonis has two years left on his contract and he’s hoping he can help the Kings end their playoff drought during the next two seasons, he told Sam Amick of The Athletic in a wide-ranging interview. “It sucks that we have that drought, but the fact that we can be part of something that can turn it around, you know, that’s the goal. Come in and change the perspective of this organization and what people think,” he said. “We’re excited that we can be part of that and build it, you know? So I want to stay as long as I can. Everything has to go well, (but) I’m happy here.”
- The Lakers likely would have fired Frank Vogel by now if Jason Kidd was still on the staff to take over in the interim, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Dave McMenamin said on The Woj Pod (hat tip to NBC Sports’ Dan Feldman). “I think we both agree, if Jason Kidd, was still on this staff, they would’ve made a coaching change,” Wojnarowski said.
Mikal B. going into deep-reasoning state, invoking complex thought-processes to asses the extraordinary circumstances he found himself in.
I do t often do this but…..LMFAO
D-Book you are in good company… as no one understands why they keep on testing people & all!
A guy walking around unknowingly with a very contagious disease that is still killing more people than all other diseases but cancer and heart attacks wonders why people are even testing any more… dumbfounding. Sucks he had to sit out, but good thing he got tested.
Well Books needs to update his views or my opinion of him is going south mighty quickly
Flu is more fatal statistically don’t hurt yourselves getting off the high horse that’s probably more fatal than either
(Shouted from their antivax high horse)
Flu is serious as well but an estimated 5 times as many people have worldwide have died of Covid in slightly more than 2 years then have died of the Flu in the last 10.
Unless you’re figuring statistics from the Spanish flu that happened over a 100 years ago.

Also, not to mention the fact that COVID just exacerbates pre-existing conditions as well. It’s well known and proven that since there was no guidelines in how to count a death attributed to COVID, the data has a lot of bad noise involved and probably under reported.
@El Don Do you remember Trump saying that Covid-19 would magically be gone by Easter of 2020? Of course you don’t. Millions of people have died needlessly from a preventable disease because of their oversized egos.

I was a little hesitant to anoint Jokic back to back MVP though lately he’s convinced me. On another note how cool is it that the top 3 players in the league are of international descent?
Who cares where players are from, this ain’t the olympics. If KD was healthy all year he would also be a part of the conversation.
A lot of voters and media care, that’s why white/euro players in general have to work harder to get recognition of the media and peers.
Voters and Media (and Fans) care about STATS.
A lot? How many white MVP level candidates are there and which ones are being disregarded based on skin color?
You might be right about European players because that “soft” tag has been around for a long time.
But I’m having trouble thinking of an affected player except for Jokic.
It means that the NBA’s footprint and high-level basketball is growing worldwide. Us fans get better players in the league and ultimately better basketball.
Not sure why we wouldn’t celebrate that? But yeah, KD is good at basketball; that’s a really good point that no one has ever made.
Funny how Covid is not talked about anymore.what a scam & Suns havent proved anything yet. they beat what? a injured Lakers and Clippers team and lost to the Bucks who almost lost to KD alone.
If the lakers had switched coaches but kept the same roster what could have happened? An extra 2-3 wins and a win in the play in game?
You’re talking a Freaky Friday situation? Fitting for LA. Not sure it’s possible outside of the movies though…
